Zusammenfassung: | Method of producing coloured ice, whether plain or containing objects, in order to form ice sculptures (decorations) using biodegradable and non-toxic dyes, by adding colourings to the pure ice as it freezes or deep-freezes and by using moulds of any shape, whether already available or specially made, in particular extensible balls, sealed plastic bags, etc. The colouring is carried out in several ways and the freezing takes place at from -10 DEG to -25 DEG and below. The colouring is either introduced directly into the liquid water at the time the mould is filled, with the aid of a bottle, glass or similar object, or it is added step by step, as the water crystallises. In the latter case syringes, droppers or containers under pressure are used in order to form colour graduations, with or without marbling, and mixtures of shades to obtain a mass of coloured ice which can either be used on its own, or assembled together with other pieces, to form an ice sculpture. The dyes are concentrated, transparent and can be diluted in water. The water can be coloured using from 3 to 4 drops per 1 litre of water. After demoulding, the coloured ice shapes can be assembled together and shaped to form displays with a view to exhibiting them. As the water freezes, objects including torches or candles can be inserted into the ice shapes to produce transparent candlesticks. The blocks of ice can be shaped by cutting, or by heating with the aid of a flame or of a hot liquid. The method of the invention is intended for decoration using pure coloured ice, used to create a sculpture for public displays, cinema advertising medium, or an international artistic work having innumerable possibilities in the industrial and commercial field.
