Process and device for monitoring the displacement of a moving body with respect to another moving body

The present invention relates to a process and a device for monitoring the displacement of a slave moving body with respect to a master moving body. The principle of operation is based on the determination of the distance (D) separating the two moving bodies by measuring the length of the marked zones (13) of a path over which the master moving body (10) and the following slave moving body (14) are travelling. The two moving bodies are equipped with transmission means for receiving and sending signals. The device is advantageous in that it allows the creation of effective and certain signalling on moving worksites on motorways and trunk roads. La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour contrôler le déplacement d'un mobile esclave par rapport à un mobile maître. Le principe de fonctionnement est basé sur la détermination de la distance (D) séparant les deux mobiles par la mesure des longueurs des zones marquées (13) d'une voie sur laquelle circulent le mobile maître (10) et le mobile esclave suiveur (14). Les deux mobiles sont équipés de moyens de transmission pour recevoir et émettre des signaux. Le dispositif est avantageux en ce qu'il permet de créer une signalisation efficace et sûre sur des chantiers mobiles d'autoroutes ou de routes départementales.
