Zusammenfassung:	An internal shoe drum brake for automotive vehicles, comprises a pair of brake shoes which are positioned at a thrust member of a brake carrier plate and are furnished with tension springs, a mechanical actuating apparatus which is operatively located between a pair of brake shoe ends positioned opposite each other and pre-stressed by a spring and by which the brake shoes can be urged against a surrounding brake drum during a braking action and an adjusting member which is positioned at at least one brake shoe web and is extendable in length in the event of a wear of the linings. The adjusting member (39) comprises a two-part strut. The parts are provided with meshing teeth (107, 125) which permit relative movement of the parts to extend the strut (39) and preventing such movement in the opposite direction.
