Zusammenfassung:The transmissiona system uses an optical fibre coupling with a distal fixing clamp for the latter incorporating a length compensation system. The clamp has a cylindrical sleeve (3), fitted to the protective outer mantle (4) of the optical fibre (1) and a screw threaded ring (5). The optical fibre (1) is centred by a fixing element (2) in the form of a split clamping disc, or a split cylinder, made of a resilient plastics or a spring metal. The length compensationm is provided by dividing the outer mantle (4) into at least 2 sections which are fitted together telescopically via a mechanical coupling. ADVANTAGE - Allows rapid release of optical fibre coupling.
