Zusammenfassung:	In a method for de-ionising the mouth edge of glass containers, the containers are exposed, at high temperature, to a corona-like discharge by means of a current which is continuously regulated in its intensity. The discharge is generated between the mouth edge of the container and an electrode running past relatively in the vicinity of this container. The electrode and the mouth edge of the container move relative to one another in such a manner that an effect of the discharge is brought about over the entire circumference of the mouth edge.
