Zusammenfassung:	An optical recording medium and a method for manufacturing an optical recording medium from a first substrate having a first surface and a second substrate having a second surface facing the first surface of the first substrate. At least one of the first and second substrates includes an information recording layer. An adhesive material is selectively applied to one of the first and second surfaces. The first surface of the first substrate is then positioned in close facing engagement with the second surface of the second substrate, and the first and second substrates are adhered under predetermined partial vacuum conditions. Preferred materials, adhesives, viscosity of the adhesives, pressures for adhering the substrates, and degree of vacuum are disclosed.
