Zusammenfassung:	A method of removing impurities from water which comprises treating these impurity-containing waters with a few parts per million of a water-soluble polymer containing a major portion of Diallyldimethyl Ammonium Chloride and ether. A. from 5 to 25 mole percent of either acrylic acid or methacrylic acid, or, B. from 5 to 25 mole percent of either acrylic acid or methacrylic acid and from 1-10 percent of a hydroxy C2-C6 alkyl acrylate or methacrylate: which polymer is characterized as having an intrinsic viscosity of at least 0.5.
