Zusammenfassung:	Description of peptides or proteins which relate to an antigen associated with a melanoma. They are produced in large quantity by recombinant DNA techniques and/or by methods of chemical synthesis. The peptides or proteins can be used as immunogens in vaccine formulations which are capable of inducing an immune response and which selectively destroy melanoma cells of a vaccinated individual. When the peptides or proteins are expressed by a recombinant virus, it is possible to prepare vaccine formulations of inactivated or live viruses.
