Zusammenfassung:	Packed toothpaste, coming into direct contact with a polyolefin surface of the packaging, comprising at least 20 wt.% of a liq. carrier, contg. water, glycerol, sorbitol and polyethylene glycol having average mol. wt. 200-1000 (600-1000) esp. 600. The wt. ratio glycerol : sorbitol is 0.25 : 1 to 3 : 1 (0.25 : 1 to 0.8 : 1) esp. 0.6 : 1 to 0.8 : 1. The wt. ratio of the total amt. of glycerol and sorbitol to polyethylene glycol is 60 : 1 to 6 : 1 (15 : 1 to 10 : 1). The toothpaste further comprises a solid carrier, contg., by wt., 0.05-10% gelling agent and 20-75% tooth-compatible water-insoluble polishing agent, a main pt. of which is a water-insoluble alkaline earth salt or alpha-alumina tri-hydrate. On using alpha-alumina tri-hydrate, as the main ingredient of a polishing agent, the compsn. further contains a water-soluble material supplying phosphate ions, to lower the pH of the toothpaste to 6-8.
