Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a heating instrument comprising an outer tubular envelope 4 surrounding an inner tubular envelope 5 delimiting, with the latter, an annular space, two annular end pieces 6, 7 for closing the said annular space in a sealed fashion, a material which can melt at a temperature greater than the ambient temperature inside the said annular space, heating means being provided to bring about melting of the said meltable material prior to use of the instrument. It comprises at least one duct 102 passing through the said meltable material and emerging in at least one of the end pieces so as to receive an electrical heating cartridge and/or an exothermic chemical cartridge.
