In order to construct such a structure in such a way that, despite a lightweight design, sufficient dimensional stability is ensured, there is provision according to the invention for the windscreen fully to cover a front cross member of the roof and to be connected to the front and rear end area of the said cross member in the front and rear end area - viewed in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle - of the said cross member via in each case an adhesive connection.
