The excess thickness of a surface of a part B is removed by the apexes C1, C2 of the sharp cutting edges of the cutting tools 1, 2. For this purpose, the apexes C1, C2 are offset with respect to one another by a distance A in the direction of longitudinal advancement and they are arranged at various distances relative to the rotational axis O-O of the part. This process enables fine non-staged adjustment of cutting tools both during machining as well as before starting machining as well as bringing the cutting head back without removing it or damaging the machined surface.
