Method characterised in that the parameters brought into play in the process are processed in such a way as to establish the mean values of the determining elements of the running over a chosen period of time and to display these mean values during the following time interval in order to assist the operator with optimal running of the process with a view to saving energy. Device corresponding to the method, comprising a computer, an integrator and a display device, housed in a sealed box and thermally protected in immediate proximity to the process.
