Closing device of the espagnolette type

The present invention relates to a closing device of the espagnolette type for shutters, windows or the like, which consists of a rod fastened to woodwork by fastening means, movable in position relative to its axis, articulated on the woodwork in the region of said means and equipped with an actuating and blocking handle. The device according to the invention is characterised essentially in that the part of each fastening means intended for holding the rod consists of two elements which engage round a section of said rod, thereby forming a clevis.
