Zusammenfassung: | The sheet (20) is preferably of glass, and the gasket (22), is preferably of a thermosetting polyurethane material injected into, and cured in a mold cavity around the glass, which is located in the injection mould between resilient clamping pads (82, 84, Fig. 10) which also define part of the moulding cavity. Retractable mould segment portions (100) define the undercut of tabs (28) which are moulded at intervals around the seal, for indexing and locating into a vehicle window opening. The tabs (28) are integrally moulded with the gasket (22), and a rib (26) which functions to confine a band of fixing adhesive (40). The glass (20) has a coating of (concealing) opaque paint (32), and glass primer coatings (34, 36), of which the coating (36) and an exterior seal coating (38) on the seal function against ultraviolet degradation of the polyurethane. |
