The invention relates to a seating unit, provided with a table, for passenger transport means, in particular for buses, which has seats which are arranged in the transverse direction of the vehicle and whose back rests face the outer wall of the vehicle. In order to be able to design such a seating unit that it can be accommodated virtually at any desired locations, for example in a bus, and only brings about a minimum loss of seats, according to the invention there is provision for the seating unit which is arranged in a row in the transverse direction of the vehicle and consists preferably of three seats to be surrounded on three sides by a table which has at least one movable part serving as an access passage, and for at least one table area which runs in the transverse direction of the vehicle to be assigned two seats which are installed in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.
