The installation which is the subject of the invention is characterised, particularly, in that it comprises means 32, 37, 50, 57, 52 for changing the position of at leat one mixer 30 of the mechanism 3 for preparing sand, at least one metering chamber 33 of the pressing mechanism 4, controls 23 for immobilising the upper and lower parts of the core boxes 5, controls 25 for closing the valves, and support bars 10 receiving the finished cores, these means 21, 37, 50, 51, 52 being arranged in the upper stage 2 of the carrier chassis 1. The invention may be used in the production of motor vehicles, sanitary equipment, and in electrotechnical and mechanical constructions, as well as in other branches of industry where pieces are produced on a large and very large scale.
