The pipe (3) is glued to the plate (1) at several points (5), at which glue is applied over a surface wider than the pipe. The glue used can be of the free-flowing and hardening type, applied along a number of paths (2) inclined to the lengthwise direction of the pipe, typically at right angles. Where the pipe runs in a meander pattern, the paths can be at right angles to its straight portions (4).
