The invention relates to stomatology. The dental caries-inhibitory remedy forming the subject of the invention is of the type containing an abrasive substance, tartaric acid, sodium hydrogen carbonate, a foaming agent, an aromatic and a binder, and is characterised in that it contains, in addition, a caries-inhibitory substance consisting of a product obtained by treatment of bone tissue with a dilute inorganic acid until the inorganic constituents and the water-soluble proteins and hydrolysis products thereof contained in the aforementioned bone tissue have dissolved completely, separation of the solution obtained, dilution of the latter with water, or a salt of the acid, and subsequent neutralisation and drying of the aforementioned solution, the constituents of the aforementioned caries-inhibitory substance being as follows (% by weight): calcium, 2 to 6; sodium, 19 to 23; potassium, 0.04 to 0.18; inorganic acid anion, 6 to 10.6; orthophosphoric acid anion, 1.5 to 5.0; water-soluble proteins and hydrolysis products thereof, 1.0 to 5.0; magnesium, 0.05 to 0.2; group of trace elements including fluorine, manganese, tin, zinc and iron, 0.01 to 0.02; complex citrate compounds, calculated as citric acid anion, q.s. 100%; the initial constituents of the aforementioned caries-inhibitory remedy being introduced in the following proportions (% by weight): tartaric acid, 11 to 15; foaming agent, 1.8 to 2.27; sodium hydrogen carbonate, 42 to 46; binder, 0.11 to 0.13; aromatic, 0.8 to 1.2; caries-inhibitory substance, 1 to 6; abrasive substance, q.s. 100%. The remedy in question is used for the daily hygiene of the buccal cavity, and to exert an anti-inflammatory action in disorders of the periodontium as well as analgesic effects in cases of hyperaesthesia of the dental tissues.
