Method for sealing the joints between precast panels of a wall in the ground, and seal for the implementation of this method

The seal is made of rubber and has a transverse cross-section in the shape of a rectangular strip 1, one of the ends 2 of which is sealed in the vertical edge of a wall panel 5. At its opposite end, the seal has the shape of a hollow ring 3 provided with fingers 4 on its periphery. When the panel 5 is installed, the seal part 3, 4 of this panel is engaged by compression into a lateral recess 6 of circular cross-section borne by the corresponding end of the preceding panel of the wall and slides inside this recess. The invention applies to the building of walls in the ground, formed by a succession of precast concrete panels which are juxtaposed but not bonded together.
