Composite archery bow having hollow risers and process for producing a riser for such a bow

The invention relates to a composite bow having hollow risers. The two risers 14, 16 of the bow, which are fastened to the grip 12, are hollow over part of their length, from the end 24 of each of the risers 14, 16 as far as a point located approximately two thirds of the way along these risers. The solid parts of the risers are limited to the zones which have to withstand high compressive and bending forces and the torques occurring when the bow 10 is being used.
