Zusammenfassung: | The vacuum pressure regulator system is used, e.g. in a motor vehicle. It has a housing (22) which contains a flexible diaphragm (30), which is urged by a spring (56) towards a flat end cover (34) and away from the end (50) of a central tube (48). This tube is connected to a line (26) leading to the carburetter. There is a valve element (44,46) which allows gas to flow from the inlet manifold to the control chamber (36) behind the diaphragm. There is a connection or line (24) leading from the control chamber to the inlet manifold, so that the pressure in the control chamber is equal to the manifold pressure. The connection to the carburetter supplies the vacuum to operate an actuator for an air control valve upstream of the throttle valve.
