SERVOMOTEUR THERMOSTATIQUE

Servo-drive, actuated by an extensible material thermostat, for translatory actuation movements of the core of a Bowden cable. A housing component of the extensible material thermostat and a housing component of the servo-drive are joined to form a common single-component central housing which forms the cover of the extensible material thermostat and contains a guide bore for the piston emerging from it. In addition, the central housing on the other side has an axial stop for the sliding element in the non-actuated neutral position. A single restoring spring acts in the opposite direction to the ejection direction of the piston on the sliding element and acts as a piston restoring element. A housing cap made of plastic is placed on the central housing in a positively locking manner and coaxially thereto, the other end of the spring being supported on the end wall of said cap and the core of the Bowden cable being guided outwards through said cap, whilst the outer casing is supported at the end of the housing cap and is centred in an axial depression. The servo-drive has low material and manufacturing costs and can be constructed to be more compact and lighter in weight than known drives.
