Retractable front mounted seed drill tractor attachment - uses three point coupling train and its centroid moves inboard as it pivots up

The retractable tractor-mounted seed-drill comprises a mechanical drill together with a seed-hopper (2), being attached to the tractor by means of a three point forward coupling train (6). The drill frame (1) and hopper assembly can be pivoted by varying the length of a connecting member (10) on a horizontal line passing through an articulated connection (9) to the train. The member may comprise a hydraulic jack pivotally connected at one end to a point on the coupling train which may be either above or below the second pivotally connected point on the wheel axis. The arrangement has the effect of moving the centre of gravity (S") towards the tractor as the assembly is pivoted upwards.
