Zusammenfassung:The subsea wellhead system includes a wellhead 24, a housing seat 70 disposed and connected to the wellhead 24, a casing hanger 50 landed and supported by the housing seat 70, a holddown and sealing assembly 180 disposed in the annulus between the wellhead 24 and casing hanger 50, a running tool 200 attached to the casing hanger 50 for lowering the casing hanger 50 into the well and for initially actuating the holdown and sealing assembly 180, and other for applying hydraulic pressure to further actuate the seal of the holddown and sealing assembly 180. The housing seat 70 and wellhead 24 are connected by a breech block connection 66, 76. The housing seat 70 maintains a full 360 DEG circumferential bearing surface with the casing hanger 50. The holddown and seal assembly 180 includes an upper rotating member 182 threadingly engaging the casing hanger 50 and suspending a lower stationary member 184. The stationary member 184 includes a Z-shaped portion 220 composed of a plurality of frustoconical metal rings connected together by connector links so as to provide a positive connective link throughout the stationary member 184. The annular links form grooves for housing resilient elastomeric members where, upon the compression of the Z-shaped portion of the stationary member, the elastomeric members sealingly engage the wellhead and casing hanger to form a metal-to-metal primary seal. The seal is actuated initially by the application of torque through a running tool 200 connected to the casing hanger. The seal is further actuated by the application of hydraulic pressure below the blowout preventer whereby a compression set of the seal is achieved which is greater than the working pressure of the well. The rotating member of the holddown and seal assembly follows the further compression of the seal so as to prevent the release of the compression set upon the removal of the hydraulic pressure.
