Zusammenfassung:	Pocket for connecting an artificial leg to a thigh stump is made in two parts of which one part of the rigid wall is separate from the part on which the rest of the artificial leg is mounted, the loose part being secured by straps adjustable in length to modify the vol. of the pocket accommodating the stump. Allows wearer to vary the pocket capacity by up to about 10% to adapt the pocket comfortably to suit natural daily variations in the vol. of the living stump. The components of the pocket pref. comprise rigid mouldings of acrylic resin lined internally with padded fabric (RTM-"Perlon") wide enough to adapt to the range of dimensions through which the pocket walls are adjustable. Pref. the loose part of the rigid pocket walls is connected to the fixed part by an integral flexible tape anchored into the resin panels.
