Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a method of monitoring the straightness of the self-advancing support front in working operations in coal mining, in which the length of a measuring rope, by means of two potentiometers mechanically connected to one another, which measuring rope runs off on the goaf side from a rope pulley arranged in the self-advancing support, and the inclination in the face and working direction are sensed one after the other or simultaneously. At the same time, the invention relates to a face-support position indicator for carrying out the method, a twin length-measuring device and a twin pendulum transmitter as inclinometer being arranged in the self-advancing support and being electrically coupled to a data processor.
