Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to novel apovincaminol derivatives of the general formula (I) and pharmaceutically suitable acid addition salts thereof (in which R and R both denote hydrogen, or one of the symbols R and R represents hydrogen and the other represents nitro). The novel compounds according to the invention are prepared by acylating apovincaminol or an acid addition salt thereof with 3, 4, 5-trimethoxybenzoic acid or a reactive acid derivative thereof and if desired nitrating the apovincaminol-3', 4', 5'-trimethoxybenzoate obtained and if desired resolving the isomer mixture obtained into the 9-nitro- and 11-nitro-apovincaminol-3', 4', 5'-trimethoxybenzoate obtained and if desired converting a compound of the general formula (I) thus obtained into a pharmaceutically suitable acid addition salt. The novel compounds of the general formula (I) can be used in therapy for the treatment and prevention of skin diseases associated with a pathological cell proliferation - in particular psoriasis.
