Zusammenfassung: | The cone has the shape of a truncated pyramid, and has a narrow hole at one end connected to a neck tube, whereas the other end is bonded to the front screen of the TV tube. The wall of the cone is thicker at its larger end than at the neck, and the inner surface is provided with several pegs (24) moulded in the cone. The pegs (24) are distributed round the bore of the cone, and pref. consist of four pegs, one in each corner of a rectangular cone. The pegs (24) may be conical and/or "knurled", and/or provided with ribs; and are pref. used to locate a magnetic screen inside the tube. The magnetic screen can be anchored in the TV tube independently from the front screen and the shadow mask.
