(by wt.) 0.13-0.18% C, 0.17-0.37% Si, 0.30-0.60% Mn, 1.70-2.50% Cr, 2.10-2.50% Ni, 0.50-0.70% Mo, 0.05-0.12% V, 0.005-0.012% N, 0.01-0.035% Al, 0.11-0.20% Cu, 0.003-0.008% As, 0.003-0.012% P, 0.001-0.005% Sb, 0.001-0.004% Sn, balance Fe, the sum of Sn% + 2Sb% + 3P% being max. 0.039%. The steel is useful for welded structures such as pressure vessels of nuclear reactors of up to 2 million kW capacity. It has full bainitic hardenability, high strength and toughness, and thermal embrittlement resistance, in sections of 500-700mm. thickness.
