Zusammenfassung: | Superconductor prodn. involves deposition of a uniform Ta and/or Nb (cpd) film on a fibrous support by chemical vapour phase reaction. The fibres with Ta/Nb are exposed to N2 gas or a gaseous N cpd. and a H halide, so that the H halide reacts with Ta/Nb to form a gaseous cpd. which then reacts with the N2 or N cpd., so that a uniform film is formed on the surface of the fibres by an irreversible reaction. The uniform nucleation over the entire surface, required for the prodn of a uniform coating is obtd by using this irreversible process.
