The mounting is situated at the discharge end of an auger conveyor mounted in an open-topped hopper. It comprises an annular race (14) turning in a stationary annular cage (13), and joined to the ridge (18) formed on the last turn of the auger at the outlet end. Its ID is equal to or greater than the OD of the auger. The ridge can be joined to the race by a transverse rib (17), fixed to the auger shaft (4), and extending for the entire dia of the race. The cage can comprise a plastics ring, flange-mounted on the hopper end wall.
