Gas purifying filter having fibrous chemisorbent filter plates - contacted by liq. to regenerate them

Filter comprises a housing having gas inlet and outlet stubs located on its side walls and rectangular parallel filter plates disposed vertically within the housing. The filter plates are fabricated from fibrous chemisorbing material and are connected in pairs by partitions to define gas flow passages between each pair of connected plates. Mounted above the plates are compartments contg. liq. which contacts the upper section of the plates and regenerates them. The filter is capable of continuously purifying the gas and the filter plates are regenerated without disconnecting the filter from the gas flow.
