Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to the field of electrical engineering/electronics and can be used for fabricating components on the basis of semiconducting ceramic compositions, such as thermistors and voltage-dependent resistors. The purpose of the invention is the fabrication of components having good electrical parameters, especially for the fabrication of ZnO varistors having very low threshold voltages. The object of the invention is to carry out a process for fabricating ceramic semiconductor components, which involves the use of macroelements consisting of a metal-oxidic base material, in such a way that extensive precipitations are avoided. The object is achieved according to the invention by placing a ceramic composition, which contains from 80 to 99.5 mol % of the metal-oxidic base material, between dense base material macroelements or between such a macroelement and a different electroconductive element as an interlayer and then carrying out a thermal treatment for the purpose of liquid-phase sintering between said elements.
