Zusammenfassung:	An aqueous (water-borne) coating composition for use in cathodic electrodeposition on coating substrates such as automobile bodies and body parts, contains, in addition to a cationic binding resin and a dispersed, fusible, solid thermocurable resin powder, a curing agent for the thermocuring of the cationic binding resin. The weight of the thermocurable resin powder is from 10 to 100% by weight, preferably from 50 to 100% by weight, based on the cationic binding resin and the curing agent. The coating is applied in an electrocoating bath, generally at a voltage of from 100 to 500 volts, and is cured by heating to a temperature usually in the range from 150 to 250 DEG C.
