Zusammenfassung:A two stroke engine has an inlet (7) into the crankcase in which a fuel air mixture coming from the carburetter (15) is compressed. The flow of mixture is controlled by a throttle (14) at the outlet side of the carburettor. There is a plate type valve (12) at the point of entry of the inlet (7) into the crankcase. A side tube (18) is connected into the inlet passage between the carburetor throttle (14) and the inlet valve (12). It extends sideways from the passage and its further end is closed. The buffer volume added by the side tube improves the flow through the inlet valve at small throttle openings.
