Zusammenfassung: | Thermal images, are represented electronically to extend the range of contrast discernable by the human eye. The thermal radiation is converted into an electrical signal, which is directly proportional to the temp. The high contrast region of the thermal images are subdivided into a number of subregions. A colour is then added to each of the subregions. The different colours are then superimposed and then presented to the eye. The signal voltage derived frm a thermal scanner is fed to a logarithmic amplifier and the output subdivided among the subregions.
