Motorised large load transporter - has longitudinal support girders with auxiliary supporting blocks and hydraulic pistons

The transporter for large loads, typically concrete beams, (7), has two longitudinal members (5, 6) with horizontal top flanges and vertical webs, curving inwards towards the bottom. The two members are supported at each end by multiple wheeled motorised bogies. Hydraulic pistons (9,10) are connected to the lower face of the flanges and extend downwards where they are connected to supporting blocks (11), curved to the same shape as the chassis girders. The underside of the blocks carry elastic frictional pads (12, 13). During transport, the blocks are forced against the girders, and for offloading the pistons jack the girders above the boies which are driven away.
