Zusammenfassung:Process comprises first extracting the mycelium with 65-80% aq. isopropanol contg. 1-10wt.% CaCl2 and 10-15wt.% CH2CO2. (I) is then pptd., washed with aq. isopropanol, taken up in DMF and pptd. with water. The second ppte. is then treated with 20-50% aq. n-propanol contg. 0.2-0.5wt.% Na hexametaphosphate (II). Pref. extraction soln. contains 2wt.% CaCl2 and 10wt.% CH2Cl2 and the second ppte. wash soln. is pref. 40% n-propanol contg. 0.5% (II). (I) is used to treat mycotic diseases such as coccidiosis, histoplasmosis or candidiasis. The extraction efficiency is high and (I) is obtd. in improved yield (33% of total activity in the mycelium) and purity.
