Zusammenfassung:Toxic and carcinogenic components in tobacco smoke are removed using a mixt. contg.: (a) 40-100 wt. % granulate having grain size 0.3-2 mm. (10-50 mesh), bulk wt. 0.5-0.7 g./ml. and consisting of 5-70 wt. % protein powder and 30-95 wt. % excipient, and (b) 0-60 (20-60) wt. % active C granulate having grain-size 0.3-2 mm. (10-50 mesh) and bulk wt. 0.5-0.7 g./ml. Mixt. selectively removes toxic components and also refines taste of smoke. Press. loss is prevented. In an example, protein granulate was prepd. by spraying wheat flour granulate with water followed by edible lactoalbumin. Protein granulate was then mixed with same quantity of C granulate.
