1510092 Derivatives of vincaminic acid hydrazide MERRELL TORAUDE 30 June 1976 [1 July 1975] 27295/76 Heading C2C Novel compounds of the Formula I and acid addition salts thereof may be prepared by reacting vincaminic acid hydrazide with a halide, anhydride or ester of a pyridine carboxylic acid, and optionally forming an acid addition salt from the product. Vincaminic acid hydrazide is prepared by reacting vincamine with hydrazine. Pharmaceutical compositions of the compounds I with the usual excipients show moderate hypotensive activity and act as vasodilates in the treatment of cerebral and peripheral vascular insufficiences when administered parenterally or orally.
