Zusammenfassung: | Device for pulsed arc-welding or coating by welding, using a rectifier (I) with an induction coil at its outlet, and a generator delivering power pulses with a rectifier (II) at its outlet, the assembly being connected together across the gap between the welding electrode and the workpiece. The rectifier (II) is connected to the welding gap in series with the induction coil, and in such a way that, irrespective of the state of its rectifying elements, the arc pulses of welding current provided by the induction coild are always at a predetermined level. A pref. circuit uses a bridge rectifier contg. two thyristors coupled in series and two diodes also in series, but several alternative circuits and connection are given. Suitable for all types of pulsed arc welding, e.g. in the oil-, ship-, and aero-industry and underwater. Stable operation is obtd. without premature deterioration of the rectifier elements. |
