Zusammenfassung: | The refractory lining of a coke oven is made of large cold-moulded unbaked bricks with a width of 200-1000 mm, a length of 300-1500 mm and a thickness adapted to technological requirements. The bricks are assembled together with sealing elements having a square, rectangular, trapezoidal, circular or elliptical cross section. The sealing elements are engaged to a depth of >=25 mm in recesses of appropriate shape in adjacent bricks, and the joints are filled with a special mortar contg. 10-50% of aggregate with a particle size of >1 mm. The bricks can be produced and assembled more cheaply and more rapidly than conventional small bricks. The surface area occupied by the joints is reduced by 50-80%, which ensures a better seal and increases the service life of the masonry. |
