Zusammenfassung:	The sliding arms may be free or securely clamped, without distortion. The clamp consists of a U-shaped body (1) across the arms of which lies a hollow sleeve (2) with a screw (4) fixed to the section passing through the base of the U (5). The arm which is to be supported (15) is of slightly smaller outside dimension that the sliding section inside dimension so that it will slide freely inside the hollow sleeve. Supporting V-notches (13, 14) are cut in the top faces of the U-arms to prevent rotation when the arm is pushed through the section and supported in the notches, tightening a wing nut (8) securely clamps it in position. If the arm is not square in section, the notches and slide are made of corresponding shape. To aid positioning of the arm, a pivoted lever (18) can be arranged to engage an actuating pin (17) in a transverse slot (16) in the arm.
