Zusammenfassung: | Heating tape contg. heating elements comprises an array of electrical resistance mixes each surrounded by individual layers of insulation material and braided sheating, within the layers of insulation and sheating material used to hold the individual elements together. The insulating material on the individual elements is a heat stable material such as an organo-silicone rubber or resin. Used for mfr. of tapes for heating pipelines etc. using temperatures up to 600 degrees C. Use of individual sheathing inhibits penetration by damp with subsequent corrosion and reduction of insulation resistance, esp. for tapes only used intermitantly and therefore subject to condensation. |
