Device for automatic insertion of cores in moulds - also pushes boxless mould out of mould making machine

A device for inserting cores in boxless moulds, consisting of a frame carrying a core holder with a through hole and a driving mechanism for moving the frame in a direction perpendicular to the joint line on moulds being made in an adjacent moulding machine. The novelty is that the frame contains guide rods on which the core holder can move w.r.t. the frame and also a spring loaded plunger which pushes the core into the mould via the through hole after the core and the mould have been pushed along the track of the moulding machine using a piston rod working in a cylinder. A roller on a stop causes the frame to pivot so the core can easily be placed in the holder. Assembling cores in a continuous horizontal row of moulds which have pref. been made in a mould shooter, adn also pushing the mould out of the shooter frame. Automatic assembly of both the core and the horizontal stack, thus increasing output.
