Zusammenfassung: | In a process for the production of compounds of polyvalent metals, polychlorophenols and carboxylic acids containing more than 6 carbon atoms, approximately equimolecular amounts of a water soluble salt of a polychlorophenol and of a water-soluble salt of a carboxylic acid containing more than 6 carbon atoms are reacted with an approximately equivalent amount of a water-soluble salt of a polyvalent metal in water, water-soluble salts of polychlorophenols specified include alkali metal, e.g. lithium, sodium and potassium salts of 2,4-dichlor-2,4,5- and 2,4,6-trichlor-, tetrachlor and pentachlorphenols. Water soluble salts of carboxylic acids specified include alkali metal salts, e.g. sodium salts of benzoic, p-chlorobenzoic, lauric, oleic, stearic, naphthenic and tall oil fatty acids. Water soluble salts of polyvalent metals specified include sulphates and chlorides of zinc, cadmium, copper, aluminium, manganese and nickel, barium chloride, cerium sulphate and lead nitrate. Organic solvents may be present in the reaction and those mentioned include solvent naphtha, benzine and light coal tar oil. Examples are furnished. |
