Zusammenfassung: | An exclusively or predominantly isotactic molten polymer of an alpha-olefine having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.3-2.0 is homogenized for 1-5 minutes, filtered at 20-150 DEG C. above its melting point, subsequently further filtered at a temperature not more than 60 DEG C. above its melting point and finally extruded into filaments. A polymer having the specified intrinsic viscosity may be prepared conventionally or by thermal degradation of one which has an intrinsic viscosity greater than 2. The homogenizing step may be effected partly by mechanical means. The alpha-olefine may be propylene. To prevent undesired thermal degradation of the polymer, stabilizers, e.g. dibutyl tin dibutyl mercaptide or triphenyl phosphite, may be added. Examples are given. |
