The invention relates to a machine for compacting and/or crushing bulk goods, two rollers (1) which can be pressed against one another at high pressure consisting in each case of a roller base body (3) and a roller case which is detachably connected to the roller base body and composed of individual segments (4). The individual segments (4) contain on the front longitudinal side in the direction of rotation of the roller in each case a single projecting shoulder (4A) and on the, in the direction of rotation of the roller, rear longitudinal side in each case a single recess (4B) of complementary shape. The generating lines of the outer surfaces of the segments (4) pointing in the circumferential direction run radially here with respect to the roller axis (1A). As a result, a simple design of the segments and a high degree of immunity to tilting is obtained.
