Claims (for the Contracting States : DE, GB, FR) Process for the preparation of N-aryl-N'-acrylylureides of the formula see diagramm : EP0023976,P12,F2 wherein R**1 and R**2 are identical or different and denote hydrogen, alkyl which is optionally substituted by halogen, or halogen and R**3 denotes hydrogen or a straight-chain or branched alkyl radical, characterised in that arylureas of the formula see diagramm : EP0023976,P12,F3 wherein R**1 and R**2 have the abovementioned meaning, are reacted with a beta-chloro-propionyl chloride of the formula see diagramm : EP0023976,P12,F4 wherein R**3 has the abovementioned meaning, and the N-aryl-N'-beta-chloropropionyl-ureide formed is subsequently dehydrohalogenated with a base at elevated temperature. 1.
